We have absolutely loved our time with Water Babies! My son started when he was just 6 weeks old and is now 2 and a half, so we’ve been part of the Water Babies journey for over two years — and we couldn’t recommend it more.

He absolutely loves his swimming lessons and looks forward to them every single week. It has been amazing to watch his confidence and swimming ability grow over the years. He has made so much progress and is now becoming increasingly independent and confident in the water, which makes me so proud.

The lessons are always fun and engaging, and the teachers have been fantastic at encouraging him, building his confidence and helping him develop new skills at his own pace. It’s been lovely seeing how much he enjoys being in the water, and I genuinely believe starting so young has helped him develop such a positive relationship with swimming.

We’re so grateful to Water Babies for all the memories and progress so far, and we’re excited to continue watching him grow and learn in the water! ❤️

Our 6 year old is taught by Charlotte at Birdforth Hall, North Yorkshire. Charlotte’s an excellent teacher: the right balance between firm and fun. She encourages the children and pays close attention to them to make sure they’re swimming properly. She gives clear instructions and demonstrates as required. Charlotte really is the reason our son joined Waterbabies.

If you’re considering water babies, go for it! Erin has been going since she was 3 weeks old and still attending weekly at 2years old! She is now so confident in the water and she get so excited for her lessons! Lucy is wonderful with all of the children and the lessons are very well structured. :)

We took our eldest son swimming at water babies from 6 weeks old for the first 18 months of his life and now as a two year old he is very water confident: independently and safely gets in and out of the pool by himself, can swim to the side and hold on when close by independently, is confident moving around the pool and happy going under water. The structure and progression of the lessons is really impressive and what I think makes it so much better than other swim lesson providers (having tried a couple of others since) and makes the extra cost worthwhile compared to others. We have now started our second son (at 2 months) back to Water Babies. Lots of good things to say.

We love swimming with Water Babies! I've taken my son since he was 13 weeks old and it's been our favourite activity since. He's now 18 months and super confident and happy in the water.

My daughter started water babies at 3months old. She loves being in the water and seeing her wee friends as well. Louise who teaches her is amazing with us all. 💖

The skills my little one has learned from Water Babies are invaluable. She has been going since she was 10 months old and she’s now 3 and a half. Originally, due to the price, I was going to take her to a few lessons and then continue it myself in a local pool, but I’m glad I decided to stick with the lessons as we really enjoy seeing our little swim friends each week and the teachers themselves are amazing! Plus seeing how confident my daughter is in the water and how much she loves it makes me so happy and proud. She swims better than her 6yo cousin who takes lessons with a different company, and after watching one of her cousins lessons, the Water Babies ones are much more put together and structured which obviously helps.

During the last year, I met 4 teachers, and they are absolutely amazing. They are really involved and professional. My daughter almost swims by herself and she is only 3yo

I have been swimming with Nikki at Spennymoor since my son was 5 weeks old, he’s now 2 years old. When my daughter was born I knew we had to sign her up straight away. She started swimming from 3 weeks, again with Nikki.
Water babies has given us confidence in the water whilst also making it fun.
It’s our favourite class of the week and can’t wait to see even more progression with both kids. Nikki and all the other staff are amazing at what they do!

Luci is an excellent teacher. She is patient, encouraging and professional. Highly recommended.

We have absolutely loved bringing our 10-month-old to water babies Bolton! The classes are well-structured, combining fun nursery rhymes with essential water safety skills. Our instructor,Luci, is incredibly patient and excellent at tracking milestones like breath control and kicking on the ledge. The pool temperature is perfectly warm for infants, and the family changing rooms are clean and spacious. I’ve seen a massive boost in my baby's water confidence. Highly recommend.

Filippos has been attending swimming lessons with Luci for the past year and he absolutely loves it ! He is 19 months old and he managed to swim on his own for a second ! It’s also great for us as we have some quality family time in the pool. I would recommend 100%

I started my swimming journey with my daughter Aria when she was 3 months old
Aria developed very well enjoying the lessons and simultaneously enjoying bath times!
Since the very beginning The staff at water babies have helped aria develop her water confidence and underwater skills. After the very few first sessions aria confidence in water increased significantly and she became confident in the rhymes and schedules of the session
Since then aria has been amazing in water and loved coming to classes each week

At 8 months due to work commitments I left water babies and signed up with another baby swimming programme
This was nothing compared to water babies and aria did not enjoy it as much as she loved her water babies classes- I have now signed up with water babies again and I know I won’t regret this decision
Aria is now in millwood classes on Sunday with Luci
She has had her first session of the term and has loved it

The swimming teacher Luci was very attentive to my babies needs. It was his first time and she made me feel so welcome.

We started Water Babies with our little boy when he was just 5 weeks old as we were really keen to ensure that he learned how to be safe in water. Now aged 3, he is so confident in the water, able to swim short distances never having needed any swim aids. He absolutely loves the water and his classes.
We first stated classes with Helena who is absolutely amazing with the little ones and makes the classes fun and engaging with lots of songs and smiles.
Due to our availability we moved class days (we love the flexibility with Water Babies with various venues and dates) and Denise taught the class. We were apprehensive to move but need not have been as again, Denise is wonderful and our little boy took to her instantly.
We now do classes at Bolton One with Sam, an incredible teacher who threads learning, social skills and fun into ever session.

All the venues we have attended over the past 3 years have been well considered and fit for purpose for little ones. Water Babies is so well designed, little people have fun without realising just how much they are learning. It is pleasing to see that there is such a good mix of people attending to with mum's and dads getting in the water with their children.

I see our son on holiday wanting to get in the pool, not afraid to jump in and knowing how to keep safe. This was evidenced when he fell into a pool and immediately swam to the side and moved himself round to the steps without any shred of panic. (Family were with him in the pool).

Of all the decisions I have made for my little one as a first time mum, this was by far the best and something I will do again if we are blessed with any more children.

My daughter has been having lessons since she was 2 months old and she loves them. We are so happy with her lessons/ progress. She has the biggest smile on her face when we start getting her ready for her lesson and she always leaves the lesson with a giggle and a smile. I'm so happy that we stay with our little group as well instead of changing timeslots/ days when they get older. She has started to build friendships and I have enjoyed chatting and building friendships with the other mums.

Since starting here with my daughter at 16 weeks old it has just been the best! We couldn’t recommend it enough! Denise and Evie as teachers have just been amazing, make you feel so relaxed and confident before and during the swimming lesson. My daughter was sitting unassisted before 5 months and it was 100% the swimming lessons that gave her the core strength! It’s our favourite thing to do each and every week!

Been going for some time now in dukinfield had Denise doing the lesson and she was amazing had a lot of information and guidance, we now have Evie who does the lessons and she is very good but in complete different way to Denise she just needs more confidence talking with groups of people
