Shambolic online order
Ordered sunglasses online. They sent the wrong ones. As the items were low in stock I asked customer services to put aside stock for the ordered to be fulfilled. They didnt. They have now emailed to say they cant send the item because it is out of stock, despite their website saying different. It is now going to take 10 days for them to refund not an insignificant sum of money. Appalling throughout. Im not suprised they have had to be bought out, but given who has bought them I imagine there will be no improvement given what happened to House of Fraser. Very disappointing.

Just like all the other reviews the customer service from Harvey Nichols is terrible. I purchased a bag and returned it the very next day only to be advised that Royal Mail have lost the item. Harvey Nichols are informing me that I have to wait for my refund as they will not pay it until Royal Mail pay them via a claim. Why does the customer have to wait for a large organization to be refunded when Royal Mail have admitted the theft/loss of the item. It is no wonder that the company is almost at risk of going into liquidation
misleading website availability
Normally on a normal website, when a product is out of stock, it says that on the spot and one could not add the item to the cart. Here though, the folks have thought, how cool would it be to let people add the product to the cart, apply coupon codes, enter all their details, delivery etc, and then surprise!! insufficient stock! Seriously, selling online is not about posting a bunch of pics, shopping experience matters. Wouldn't go back to that merchant.
Customer Service Matters
Had a lovely afternoon at HN in Leeds with the experience of a personal shopper Trung who helped me choose the perfect jacket. The staff in general were very pleasant
Useless
Placed an order. 24 hours later, told it's not in stock. Really annoying when big, established businesses can't keep track of their own stock levels.
I repeatedly ordered one specific TOD’S…
I repeatedly ordered one specific TOD’S polo and repeatedly received the same completely different item — even after customer service confirmed the correct product before dispatch.
Rather than properly investigating why this kept happening, I received one standard apology after another. I spent a significant amount of time ordering, returning incorrect items and explaining the same problem repeatedly.
Mistakes can happen once. The same mistake happening repeatedly, followed by generic responses instead of a real solution, shows a serious failure in both fulfilment and customer service. Extremely disappointing.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Harvey Nichols.
I placed an order for an item worth nearly £400 and realised almost immediately that the delivery address saved through Apple Pay was my old address. Within the same hour of placing the order, I contacted Harvey Nichols by email to explain the situation and provided my new address. I also called customer services to make them aware of the issue.
I was repeatedly told that the address could not be changed until the parcel was out for delivery, and that I should contact them again at that stage. When I received the dispatch notification, I did exactly as instructed. I emailed again with my new address and even suggested that, if they couldn’t change it to my home address, they could redirect it to the Harvey Nichols Bristol store for collection.
Unfortunately, after sending all the requested information, I received no response. The courier’s delivery options only allowed me to choose a safe place or a neighbour—neither of which was helpful because I no longer live at the original address.
For an expensive purchase, I expected much better customer service and more support in resolving what was a genuine mistake that I reported almost immediately. Instead, I was left worrying about a high-value parcel being delivered to an address where I no longer live.
Overall, this experience has been very stressful and disappointing. I expected far better communication and customer care from a luxury retailer.
I will never buy from them again! AVOID!
Sadly a very poor experience with online shopping. I recently returned a pair of Vince winter sale (still £225)stock trousers. They returned the trousers to me without any notification or reason. I had to ring customer services , and was accused of removing the label and wearing them , so they would not be refunding me. The item did not have a store label attached which I did not notice. They didn't fit. I returned them within 3 days. I explained that they were wool trousers so why would I wear them in a heat wave!! Even supplied a photo showing I could not zip them up They said there was a hair on them Well no doubt they've been tried on by plenty of people since last autumn. I suspect they came from store stock. They just arrived in an unmarked scruffy plastic bag.
Still they would not accept them back. They also sent me in error an internal email asking the returns department if they should 'push back' to the customer. Absolutely shocking! So I made an official complaint to the CEO.
I have now been refunded and received an apology , but it's too late, I will never buy from them again. I have shopped online with HN for years but I was treated like a criminal. I have deleted their app and unsubscribed!

I’ve always loved shopping at Harvey Nichols’ retail stores, and the in-store experience is excellent. Unfortunately, the website is a completely different story, especially on mobile.
The mobile navigation is not user-friendly and makes browsing and shopping far more difficult than it should be. On top of that, the cookie settings don’t allow you to make clear, flexible selections on a mobile device, which only adds to the frustration.
It’s disappointing because the quality of the brand and the in-store experience set such high expectations. I hope Harvey Nichols improves its mobile website and cookie preferences to make online shopping as enjoyable as visiting one of their stores
Great service!
Great service!! Ordered expensive stone island mens boots from the online store. Arrived 2 days later extremely well packaged and also came with a nice carry bag. Well impressed with the service. Thank you
Don’t bother ‼️
Unbelievable.. shocking experience
Customer service shocking .. I had ordered a 170 bottle of perfume
It arrive as tho it had b en kicked around the road obvious leak dirty packaging inside and out
I sent several photos they had the cheek to offer me 4-50p would I purchase any thing from them again never extremely disappointed
Dreadful service and low grade selections
I have been coming to this store since it opened. Unfortunately the past 10 years it has deteriorated to being a low class, barely functioning store that nobody wants to bother visiting. The last few times I popped in, there were barely any customers. the 5th Floor restaurant that used to buzz every day of the week, completely void of customers. In addition to the store being poor selection of sizes and brands, I have attempted to order several times online with no success. The website will accept your order and money and then over a week later I have to follow up asking where my product is and 9 times out of 10 they say its not in stock and just never bothered to tell me. This time the excuse was that I had not given my correct address - are. they kidding. ? It's just an exhausting waste of time. The people in Customer Service must be AI bots because they are moronic and cant understand anything you say.
Terrible experience - shop elsewhere
Terrible experience - ordered a £175 swimsuit online and it arrived like a Vinted parcel - in a scruffy jiffy bag, inside out, no tissue or anything which was really disappointing considering the price!
I then emailed to show the condition and give feed back on its arrival, and that I was also going to return the item - I was told for hygiene reasons they didn't accept refunds on swimwear and a link to their T&Cs - which states they DO accept returns on swimwear. I explained that the terms and conditions say I'm allowed to return, otherwise I would have never ordered from them, and they then replied saying they do but only with thorough checking of the item that it meets all of their standards and almost insinuating it wouldn't meet them? Completely contradictory information and a shambles from start to finish - will never order or shop there again.
Disgraceful Customer Service
If only I'd had the wisdom NOT to trust a household brand like HN and to check the Trustpilot site first. What a disaster my orders were 903325015 and 903326405.
I ordered a Boss garment on sale and followed the size guide on the Harvey Nichols website. It advised that I order a size XL, which I did. On arrival the garment absolutely buried me, it was farcical, at least two sizes too big. I contacted Customer Service, who wrote to me in the tone that I should be grateful to be allowed to purchase from them. I explained that the error was theirs, the website was misleading. It was suggested I order a size L, which I did, and then when this arrived, the jumper fitted but the sleeves were outrageously large. Now I see why this garment was so heavily reduced. Bargain? Not on your life.
Eventually, I paid out £150 over two transactions and received credits totalling £135.50. I am fuming because in both cases the garments were faulty, the website size guide was misleading and they had been manufactured way, way oversize. Customer Service then told me that the baggy look was very 'in' at the moment. What a joke and what an insult. Not only will I never use their website again, I'll never step in store again.
Luxury price but not luxury experience
I purchased the Coach Jet handbag from this store for delivery. Be aware that if you purchase a luxury handbag here, despite paying the premium price, you probably won’t even get a dust bag. The product just came in a bit of tissue paper. The bag itself was fine from what I can see given it is new, but don’t expect the full experience of purchasing a luxury bag. You’re genuinely better off ordering from the manufacturer.
When I asked customer service about this, they just said they’ve ran out but that they will check and see if they can send one. Over a week on and I’ve heard nothing. Luxury price tag but not the experience you typically get
DO NOT buy from here!!
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I recently purchased a £270 bottle of Parfum De Marly Delina, which is my second bottle of the fragrance. The smell was noticeably different, very alcoholic so I believe either the batch was defective or it had not been stored correctly. After much battle, they agreed to take it back for testing, it was there 48 hours when they said they would be returning it to me. I am not left nearly £300 out of pocket with a bottle of perfume I cannot use. Please go elsewhere for your purchases.

To be aware Harvey Nichols is not UK owned and has no UK customer service centre. I have tried to return faulty goods after label removed before I noticed but still on the day of delivery. They are refusing a refund not inline with UK consumer rights. So have to pursue through credit card. Just be advised nothing like a UK department store just an old name so be careful if decide to purchase.

Damaged item
The item arrived damaged; the way it was packed was unprofessional and I don’t recommend
