Professional, welcoming service for a London trip memento
I originally visited Chards in Hatton Garden to purchase a Sovereign coin as a memento of our family trip to London — a coin that is not easily found in Hong Kong. What began as a specific purchase became a genuinely memorable experience.
For overseas visitors, I would recommend completing payment online first, then emailing the team to confirm collection logistics. This helps ensure the desired item is available at the Hatton Garden office, or allows enough time for stock to be transferred from Chards’ Blackpool headquarters before the planned collection date.
Chards felt like a hidden gem in Hatton Garden: welcoming, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. Bhumika and the team took time to explain the options clearly, without any pressure, and made the whole process both reassuring and enjoyable.
I also appreciated Bhumika’s recommendations of the Silver Britannia and the 1oz St George and the Dragon silver coin. They are not simply bullion pieces, but beautiful works of art to hold in hand.
The collection process was also impressively careful and professional. Please bring your passport for the security and identity checks, together with your order confirmation. It was reassuring to see the team verify the metal using a Thermo Fisher Niton XRF analyser. And do not leave without trying the Chards mint sweets — the perfect companion to their coffee.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to purchase bullion or collectable coins in London. I hope to visit Chards’ headquarters in Blackpool on my next trip to the UK.

Amazing service. We use a lot of bullion dealers but came across Chards when looking for two specific silver proof coins that were out of stock everywhere else, including Royal Mint. The coins were ordered late evening, dispatched the following day and arrived a day later, very well packaged and in pristine condition. Our usual bullion dealers can take a week just to confirm the order, so this was a refreshing change! Chards will be our first choice from now on.
