Customer service is shocking. Avoid.
I purchased our wedding bands from Austen & Blake. The communication was poor whilst we were waiting for them to be made and took longer than we were told, and I had to follow up with them multiple times with my messages often ignored.
I was also promised additional money off of our purchase as part of a promotion (and had this in writing). The store then backtracked and refused to honour the agreement. After placing a formal complaint, this was not adequately resolved and all of the communication I have received has been really quite disappointing.
The rings themselves are lovely and is the reason I’m giving this two stars as opposed to one.
I would really caution anyone who is considering purchasing jewellery from Austen & Blake, customer service is really important for me and it’s something they are severely lacking - I wish we made our purchase with another jewellers.
I spent £3,000 on an engagement ring…
I spent £3,000 on an engagement ring and was really disappointed with the overall experience. I had to chase to find out when it was ready to collect, and when I finally arrived, it was simply handed to me in a small clear plastic bag with no presentation at all.
Buying an engagement ring is a huge milestone, and I expected the collection to feel special. Instead, it felt like just another transaction. For the amount of money I spent, I expected a much higher level of customer service and attention to detail.
I ended up having to sort out the presentation myself, which completely took away from what should have been an exciting moment. The whole experience left me feeling like my custom wasn’t valued and that the company simply didn’t care.
Unfortunately, because of this experience, I wouldn’t buy from them again or recommend them to others.

It was very easy for my fiancée to choose what she wanted and on arrival, just within the 4 week lead time, loved it as soon as she saw it.

I have placed my order and am so excited to wear these rings in a matter of a few weeks.

Visited the London Store which was very friendly. Purchased an eternity ring online after the visit which is lovely.
The biggest issue is the non existence of customer services during the time the order is being fulfilled.
I tried the phone number of the London store on many occasions where it’s never answered or goes to an answerphone where you leave a message and nobody comes back.
I email on 5 separate occasions with no response from customer services.
I even tried the online chat on multiple occasions.
Nothing from any channel.
It’s so disappointing when the product is great but the company systems put in place to help customers are abysmal at best.
I did receive the automated email messages about the progress of the order, but this is of very little help when you actually need to speak to a human.

Diamond store with Trash customer service
Received a beautiful pair of earrings for my birthday just 2 months ago. This was only the second time I’d worn these stunning earrings. They have screw backs so I genuinely thought they would be secure and safe. Clearly not.
I completely understand these pieces are handmade and that slight imperfections can happen.
I already find it annoying that I have to send the earrings away for an inspection, but okay, I’ll do that. What really frustrated me was then being told I may have to incur a fee to replace the missing back, as if this is somehow my fault. How does that make any logical sense when I’ve only owned them for 2 months and have only worn them twice? I might be wrong… but I don’t think you can even consider that wear and tear…
Really annoyed at the agent who advised this to me.
Oh… and the cherry on top is we sent an email 4 days ago and, surprise surprise, we’ve still had no response.

Delay in getting the ring
I didn't like the fact that the ring took far longer to be made once ordered. I was told 2 weeks and it arrived after 4 weeks after a phone call asking why there was a delay.
Once at the store the staff then spent 30 + minutes to actually find it .
The ring it's self is perfect though

i just walked in one day, at the Belfast branch and speak to a lovely staff members. my intention that day was to shop Belfast shops, i never heard of Austin and Blake. They were very help. help me pick my dreamed ring. the time was giving to pick my ring was correct, qnd i picked it up and fell in love. thank you

Disappointing Experience and Poor Resolution
I am extremely disappointed with my experience.
I placed an order and then waited several weeks with very little communication, having to chase repeatedly for updates on what should have been a straightforward purchase. When I finally received an update, I was informed that the ring had been manufactured incorrectly due to an error on the company's side.
While I appreciate that the company acknowledged the mistake, I was surprised by the proposed resolution. I was presented with two options: either wait longer for the ring to be remade to the original specification, or keep the incorrectly manufactured ring and pay an additional amount for the larger diamond, despite the error not being mine.
The most frustrating aspect has been the delay and the lack of proactive communication throughout the process. As a customer, I expected better quality control and a smoother experience, especially for such an important purchase.
I am still hoping we can reach an amicable resolution, but based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend the company. Customers should not be left waiting weeks for updates only to be asked to pay more as a result of a manufacturing error.
Unfortunately, this experience has turned what should have been an exciting purchase into a stressful and disappointing one.

Fantastic experience!
I visited Austen & Blake recently to start the process of looking at engagement rings. With no idea of what I wanted, I started the process pretty blind. My sales advisor Amber was incredibly helpful, patient, personable and knowledgeable, and was able to show me a variety of rings of different styles which helped narrow down my focus until we found the one!
I felt no pressure from Amber to complete a purchase, though she made the process so easy by sending over the information of the ring we had chosen to purchase in our own time.
The entire process was smooth, easy and an absolute pleasure, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Amber and Austen & Blake to anyone looking for engagement rings!
Don’t order online I’ve been waiting…
Don’t order online I’ve been waiting now nearly six weeks for a pair of earring. I get the estimated delivery dates, but sending emails stating that it’s nearly ready, then another stating the don’t have the diamonds in stock, meaning that it’s not even been started after 4 weeks is really bad customer service.

Extremely good service and knowledge
We were visiting Chester, and made a purchase of a Diamond ring, which is to be a birthday present for my wife. Polly was extremely helpful and gave us lots of advice, regarding size, quality of stones, how its made and details of delivery times, we received the ring today and the fit is perfect.
It arrived so much quicker than we were expecting. Polly also assisted us on what bus to get back to our car as we had walked in along the canal with our dog.

Specifically, Arianna was incredibly helpful when assisting me to choose an engagement ring for my partner. She listened to what I was looking for with great patience, explained all of the customisation options in detail so that I could make a choice, and never pressured me into making a decision when it come to buying the ring. Her knowledge and guidance was crucial, my partner loves the ring!
