Wedding day Ruined, intruder broke into the farm house early morning of our wedding , we had police arrive , Runa farm staff and management have done nothing to help us, we have even tried to arrange a meeting with the CEO or higher management and it’s been ignored.
Do not book your wedding here. Very unprofessional, zero respect.
Where do I start? Maybe the response of the general manager… 25% discount on next booking was the offer after my concerns were raised. Room ok but no wardrobe space and weeds in patio. Dressing gowns received day late when I was attending a wedding so were of no use. Breakfast I had to ask for service of both mornings. Staff not interested. Toilet wouldn’t flush on occasions over the 2 night stay. We were left waiting f at reception 15 minutes as only one ataff available for check in. Drinks soooo expensive with inexperienced staff. Was advised short staffed at breakfast as had aloud ataff time off dor festival even though this was a wedding weekend?? Very disappointed and would not return. Response to concerns poor.
Liked · I liked the initial greeting by the reception supervisor. Sadly that warmth did not last.
Disliked · Not sure where to start, the fire alarm went off at 5.30 in the morning. No staff were available at that time, so about a dozen guests came to reception for assistance.
A male staff member then came out and shouted (literally shouted) at the guests to get back to their rooms.
I cancelled the rest of my trip as the holiday and the visit to my family was ruined and the entire holiday was cut short.
I was not offered any monetary refund for the inconvenience. The reception supervisor was cold and dismissive.
I will never stay here again. Be aware.
Went to Runa Farm for a wedding. Wedding was lovely staff very attentive at all times. Breakfast was lovely next day. However the room was not good at all. Wedding was 1pm and couldn't get key until 3. This meant the room was not used until we retired after the wedding. After paying £285 the room was cold. Heating wasn't on. I turned it on at the radiator and woke up cold at 3am. The heating wasn't working. The curtains were not attached properly to the rail which meant they didn't close properly and the light directly outside the window was on all night. There was a very small mirror and small dressing table with no chair. All in all very poor facilities. We did point this out to reception on check out and was met with little empathy. Would not return

I booked a table for my family for my birthday meal (3 people), when we arrived we were told where our table was and that water would be brought to us and our drinks order taken. There where 3 tables when we arrived with less than 10 people, we waited 30 minutes and nothing, the waiter went to two other tables took a dessert order and then took the order of a walk in table and never came across to us. We tried to get the attention of the waiter who seemed so oblivious to the fact he had a table with zero service, this was a clear indication of how the rest of the evening would go so we left.
No one should have to wait 30 minutes for a waiter to come over and take an order (who knows how much longer it would have taken). They weren’t rushed off their feet with less than 10 people total. I booked in advance so it gave them time to plan and organise for extra cover if needed.
I will not be going back.

Overpriced for small dark room, 2 nights Inc.breakfast £450, £45 for a bottle of Prosecco, staff where very nice, but i do not think i will be returning.
Not even there yet but my experience booking and paying has been appalling
Booked 3 rooms to attend a wedding, had a total of 13 emails asking for payment despite having given payment details twice and sending proof of payment, wasted so much time- nice people on the phone but incompetent
I'm rating this experience with two stars due to an unexpected additional charge of £100 upon arrival. Despite booking what was advertised on Secret Escapes as a Superior Room with a Hot Tub, we were informed at check-in that we had only reserved a superior room. Our evidence from the Secret Escapes portal, clearly displaying a room with a Hot Tub, did not sway management to acknowledge their oversight or waive the additional fee. Consequently, we reluctantly paid the extra charge, having chosen this specific accommodation for the hot tub experience. This situation detracted from what could have been a five-star review. However, I must commend the reception, restaurant, and bar staff for their exceptional service. It's a pity that management did not mirror this level of customer care, leaving both us and the receptionist in an uncomfortable position, and diminishing our overall value as guests.
