I am still waiting for my flight refund…

I am still waiting for my flight refund from March 2020. I was asked to send them a reminder to issue the refund a year later which I did and I still haven't head back over a month later. I'm absolutely appalled and devistated becsuse I dont know how to sort it. Do not reccomend at all, awful service!

After literally 100s of emails, I am still waiting for a refund of my April 2020 flight tickets.

I have had refunds and great service from so-called budget/low-cost airlines.

I have been messed around, ignored, lied to. Refunds have supposedly been 'sent', only not to reach my account.

Couldn't really have been any worse.
Fraudsters.

Customer support is absolutely useless, doesn't even reply. Their spam-newsletter can't be unsubscribed from.
I won't make the mistake of booking with omanair ever again.

Cheating on Refund After one Year

We book 4 tickets to india on Jan 2020. Unfortunately this coincided with the covid pandemic, and both flights to india and UAE was cancelled.
we request for refund but was only offered a rebooking for 2 year/ refund after 1 year of purchase date. Obviously did not expect the pandemic to last this long.
The same pandamic situation we book other airline tickets, all airline give back my Money.
We agree the airline policy and wait for 1 Year, on jan 2021, 1 Year was complited, after the one completion on one year i am eligible for the refund, now they are not responding to my emails from last 4 Months. Customer care repersentative are also saying that contact only e-mail. Visited their Dubai office but no use, no one dont know about their refund, all are saying that contact throught e-mail, they are brintly avoiding the e-mails for refund customers.
Many times we traveled in Oman AIr, now we wqas facing poor customer service and irresponsibility attitude towards the customer complaint, It will definitly affect it's Prestige.
The fact that A flag carrier like Oman Air is acting more like a budget airline surely affects its prestige. When the world goes back to normal I suspect I will think twice before taking Oman Air ever again.

Seit April 2020 warte ich auf eine Rückerstattung meiner von OmanAir stornierten Reise. Stand heute sind dies ~12 Monate. Ticketpreis war 1628 Euro.

No refund 1 year after cancelling flights

We flew with Oman Air before the pandemic and the trip was satisfactory. So I had no qualms about booking with them again for my trip to Europe in 2020.

Unfortunately this coincided with the covid pandemic, and both flights to and from Europe were cancelled. I was hoping for a refund but was only offered a rebooking for 1 year. Obv did not expect the pandemic to last this long. At the end of 2020 I felt that this had gone on long enough, and even though they extended the rebooking for 2 years, it was just too hard to make any kind of travel plans. I requested a refund via their website and was met with an email offering rebooking or a travel voucher that could be turned into a refund after 1 year. This is unacceptable to me given the current circumstances, and obviously Oman Air is just trying to buy itself time and hoping customers will give up trying to get a refund.

I am not alone with these concerns, and a quick google searchof "oman air refund" and "oman air review" will show numerous other customers with similar complaints. This kind of reputational harm is hard to undo, especially when you do a similar search for Airlines like Qatar Airways, which seem to have handled this much better.

For my Europe trip I had two other flights, one with Air France (refunded immediately) and one with Easyjet (offered a voucher). Very rude customer service…

Very rude customer service representative.
Been calling 4 days in a row to reschedule myfligh. They cancelled the flight last year due to the pandemic. They don’t want to refund my money (tried to refund it too last year to no avail), nor want to reschedule my flight. And then this 1 customer representative cut off my call because i sounded angry - who wouldn’t be in this situation? And yet what? No empathy at all. Crappy food on the plane too. Also their flight attendants are so arrogant and rude. If there is only another airline who offers a direct flight to my country, i’d never use their service for the life of me. If only i could leave a -5 star for them, I definitely would.

their call agents are too rude. Hopeless service they are not returning our money or providing any feedback on refunds. I am shock to see the reviews so many people are suffering and no know one is bothered. Very very bad services i will never prefer or recommend oman air.

Appealing and Disgraceful Handling of Refunds for Cancelled Flights

Absolutely appealing and disgraceful handling of refunds for cancelled flights. Oman Air cancelled my flights due to CV-19 in April 2020 and for 10 months systematically and deliberately kept passing me between different departments who never responded. Despite a final determination by the Aviation ADR for Oman Air to provide a refund they still refused to comply. I finally managed to obtain the refund in January 2021 (!) through a chargeback via Amex which had to be argued multiple times. I will not forget this and I will never, ever fly with Oman Air again.

A Refund? - They Will Stall You Forever

I booked a bucket list trip with Oman Air flying Jakarta-Muscat-Cairo return leaving in late March 2020 - but due to the Covid outbreak the flight from Jakarta was cancelled. After a lot of emailing back and forth - still no refund.They just keep asking for silly things - like a letter from my bank because my credit card I bought the ticket with has now expired,. Visa told me Oman Air know damn well that a refund to an expired Visa card automatically transfers to the replacement card. It is stall stall stall - there appears no intention of refunding.They also told me in the back and forth slow emailing ( 3 weeks to reply, if at all) that there would be cancellation fees - how can you charge cancellation fees when it was Oman Air that cancelled flights making it impossible for me to embark. They are now reducing their aircraft fleet from 50 to 30 so a a resumption of flights from Jakarta seems improbable - so the choice of actually using the ticket at some future date also seems improbable. It is sad that this airline's integrity and it's respect for customers has been thrown out as it scrambles to survive the Covid Pandemic, reducing them to use dishonest procedures to stall refunds for flights that did not exist.

since one year they didn't refund the cancelled flight ticket charge. no response from email and customer care says write emails to refund team. Really big scam and worst service.

Booked my Air ticket from Sri Lanka to Milan in Jan 2020 and its March 2021, still no refund. No replies to queries and the call centre and local office is not providing a solve.

Really disappointed with the airline and the air ticket scam.

Oman Air has literally stole millions of euros from its customers. Like thousands of other passengers, my return flight was cancelled by Oman Air in March 2020 and I had to fly with a different airline to be able to come back home. Since then, it's a dialogue of the deaf. They don't answer emails, over the phone their rude employees with limited English have a robotic speech "please send an email to our refund team" but everytime I did so, I received either no answer or automatic ones "we will get back to you within 2 weeks"... Their strategy is obvious: make the customers giving up and keep their money. Customers should gather together and sue them to get their money back.

If your booking is cancelled, expect no refund from this airline

Flight cancelled in March 2020, no refund even in March 2021. No response to emails, Facebook direct message or any form of query. Worst airline ever that I had to deal with.

Waiting nearly 12 months for a refund…

Waiting nearly 12 months for a refund that they are legally obliged to give. They ignore emails and direct messages on Twitter. When you call them they say they are not the right people to speak to for refunds and there is nobody you can speak to. THIS COMPANY STEALS MONEY FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Rückerstattung Corona

Wir haben im Dezember 2019 Flüge gebucht, welche im April 2020 aufgrund der Corona Krise nicht stattfinden konnten. Nachdem wir ganz unkompliziert auf Februar 2021 umbuchen konnten, wurden diese Flüge bereits im September 2020 wieder storniert.
Der Hinweis, dass man die Rückerstattung erst 1 Jahr nach Buchung beantragen kann, war vorerst keine Überraschung.
Es hat nun 1 Jahr und 3 Monate gedauert - und ich hätte es nicht für möglich gehalten - bis unser Geld zurückerstattet wurde.
Alles in allem kann ich nichts negatives berichten. Es braucht lediglich ein bisschen Geduld und Hoffnung. :)
